Whisky tasting with Glenmorangie
By - Richard - 20th August 2015
Ah whisky, the most famous of all Scottish drinks. First distilled in Scotland as far back as 1494, it has been part of Scottish heritage for centuries. An acquired taste most certainly and one which can take many an evening of alcoholic beverage consumption to acquire.
We were excited to get the call from Heriot-Watt university recently to interview Dr Bill Lumsden, the head of distilling and whisky creation for Glenmorangie to find out more about the process of distilling and tasting the iconic drink.
Filmed in the ‘sensory room’ in the Glenmorangie offices in central Edinburgh, the set up allowed for a three camera shoot where our motorised arced slider (see our review of the Redrock Micro One Man Crew) really came into its own.
