Gowling WLG
We were approached by the employer branding agency ThirtyThree to produce a trio of films for the law firm Gowling WLG (formerly known as Wragge, Lawrence, Graham & Co).
The films were to showcase Gowling WLG as one of the leading UK law firms and to attract the best talent to their Training and Vacation Schemes.
The Vacation and Training Scheme films each consisted of interviews with two current employees. The third film (the ‘Introduction to Gowling WLC’) featured the same four employees and an additional senior member of staff helped to position the films and the law firm itself.
Filming was conducted over two days at the firm’s offices in London and Birmingham. We made use of a two camera set-up for all of the interviews.
We spent time with each of the interviewees, filming them at their desks, in meetings and socialising with their colleagues. Our motorised slider came into its own during this section of filming and the dolly and tracks added energy to our workplace shots.
The client had carefully chosen the four young employees who would appear in the film and each of our contributors was well prepared to discuss their experiences. The client was keen to focus on the stand-out qualities of Gowling WLG as an employer, so we were able to hone our questions to tease out the most relevant information.
The videos were produced so that they would sit prominently on a new graduate recruitment website.
This website had a strong visual identity which the films needed to reflect. We were able to achieve this by creating a split-screen opening indent at the beginning of each film.
This was on-brand and visually linked the films to existing recruitment material.
