J.K. Rowling’s ‘The Christmas Pig’ promo videos

We were very excited to be asked to produce a slate of new videos to help launch and promote author J.K. Rowling’s new best-selling book, The Christmas Pig.
The Christmas Pig is J.K. Rowling’s first children’s novel since Harry Potter. It tells the story of a little boy called Jack, and his beloved toy, Dur Pig, and the toy that replaces Dur Pig when he’s lost on Christmas Eve – the Christmas Pig.
Together, Jack and the Christmas Pig embark on a magical journey to seek something lost, and to save the best friend Jack has ever known.
When Rich from Swift Films was given a sneak preview into the story of The Christmas Pig, it struck a chord. Rich’s six year old son is also called Jack. Since birth, Jack’s beloved cuddly toy ‘Owly’ has rarely left his side.
On disclosing this information, Rich was asked whether Jack would be interested in talking to J.K. Rowling about ‘Owly’. You can view their chat about precious toys below.
As part of the promotion for The Christmas Pig, we also filmed J.K. Rowling reading a handful of passages from the book.
